Nobody uses a bathtub anymore!

Curbless is the hottest trend for bathroom renovation in the United States, as more people are opting to take out their old bathtubs and replace them with barrier free designs.

For the Baby Boomer generation 90 percent of people over the age of 65 want to age in place, thus creating a need for bathroom upgrades. By removing all physical barriers, this gives the bathroom an opened spaced concept, making the room appear larger and easily accessible. Our curbless showers are a predictable and reliable construction system that has been used for 30 years as a health care solution, making aging in place realistic option for baby boomers to stay in their homes. The curbless shower gives Baby Boomers back their self-reliance and independence, and gives them the freedom to choose how they want their bathrooms to look.

Our pans have a two part construction process that makes installation time savvy and safety a top priority. First, the curbless pans replace any existing subfloor and go directly over top of the floor joists. The pans are screwed down into the blocking, and drain is put into place.

The second part is the waterproofing system, in which crack isolation tape is provided for all of the seams in the shower, and then the waterproofing membrane is applied to the cracks and the entire shower. Once dried, you’re ready to tile!

Curbless showers are a stylish and stunning upgrade to any bathroom, and with the right accent pieces such as a grab bars or seats it can be the final touch to your bathroom oasis.
